The scientists that developed it, figured that the Lithiu-8 within would remain inert...they failed to take into account the speed of the neutrinos moving through it.

The ricochet from the Tsar Bomba circled the planet three times and also unleashed a sequence of earthquakes. Human folly at its worst. Hopefully we can get around to using nuclear fusion for good.
