what size is 48EE converted to North American sizes ?

Almost 14 and very, very wide, it's really only 11 1/2 inches.

My foot droops with age and that's why they get longer, lol.

My rant

It's ridiculous that we still need conversions for shoe sizes around the world.

In Europe my size 9 would be 43, Mexico - 7.5, Japan - 27.5, UK and Australia - 8.5, Russia - 39, Korea - 267.
Why are men and women measured differently? At least it's accurate for women in Canada and the US since it's the same as inches.

Go figure - only Korea has it right with the same for men and women and it's the same number as the centimetre measurement.

We pay through the nose or order from the u.s. The more expensive shoes always seem to come in big sizes.

I have huge feet and hands for a woman. Size 11 women's (size 9 in men's) shoe. And it's hard for me to find a woman's glove to fit. My fingers are slender, but my thumb to little finger reach is usually longer than most men's. Should have helped me more with the piano -- damn, that lack of rythym!

Funny this should come up...

I have to go shoe shopping this Friday. Promised a LF of mine I would get her some shoes for winter. She's a size 6 if any of you fine ladies with hundreds of pairs want to give any away. She has none, no shoes at all. Could save me $100. or so.

I am size 10-11 wide depending on shoe type and where shopping.
