Favourite Comedy Shows ....

My picks:

1) Seinfeld - no matter how many times I see it, I still get a good laugh.

2) The Simpsons - has lost some steam over the years, but it still rocks !!!

3) Family Guy / Futurama (tie) - Stewie & Bender ... enough said !!!

I can't believe I forgot WKRP!!

My two fave episodes are the ones where the new DJ gets caught selling coke by Johnny but tells Arthur it's foot powder and the one where Johnny does the on air reaction test to show what happens to your reaction times when you drink. He starts off all slow when he's sober and as he gets hammered he becomes lightning fast.

Both excellent choices. Yeah it was Doug Winner (Winter?) who was taking Payola from that record company dude to play the latest song from (get your trivia caps on) The Soundtastics. The second episode you allude to mentions the fight between Herb in the carp mascot outfit and the WPIG pig mascot guy, which took place in a public men's room that had pay toilets. the WPIG dude eventually goes back to WKRP and vandalizes the lobby with paint. I THINK that's also in the same episode.

I don't know if it is or isn't but that Carp vs. Pig thing was hilarious too.

Saturday Night Live: When Mike Meyers, Dana Carvey and the crew were on; SNL was at its best. Now its mediorce at best but mostly it just sucks!!!!
SNL had it's moments. More or less watching it has sort of become a ritual for me. Eddie Murphy was quite funny back in the really early eighties with the rest of the crew.

Looney Tunes: Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, Pepe LePew and Miss Mew, Foghorn and Dawg all locked in their mortal coil. Riot!

late night local news cracks me up with the body count, twisted metal, industrial accidents, other countries' oddities : silly humans!

Coupling
As Time Goes By
One Foot In The Grave
Waiting For God
Absolutely Fabulous

I feel so ashamed because I haven't mentioned Trailer Park Boys and Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies.

Ricky, Bubbles, Cory, Trevor, Sarah, Lucy, J-Roc, Tyrone, Randy, Mr.Lahey, Cyrus, Sam, Ray, Detroit Velvet Smooth (from Moncton), Trinity, Barbara, Trina and I guess Julian all kick ass!! Among my favourite episodes would have to be the one with Conky, the one with Alex Lifeson gets kidnapped by Ricky and of course the one where J-Roc gets caught masturbating.

South Park: Started off strong, then sort of petered out for a season or two but the last two or three seasons have been great!!!
Anybody catch the homage to anime episode!!!
Yes, hilarious, as was the Paris Hilton "Whore Off" episode. Rudest thing they've done since the movie.

I liked that show too- thought it was a funny show w/ an interesting concept....too bad not enough people felt the same way to keep the show running for more than 1 year. :(
