I'd still like to know how Vince became owner. Was there an episode where he took control of the federation?

I thought the WWF was given to him from his father.
Yeah, I think in real life. I'm talking about how he turned from play by play guy into owner in wrestlings "pretend" world.

I've asked so many people about this over the years and I've had no luck. For me, I just turned on my tube one day and saw that there was no more Jack Tunny and Vince was the boss.

FRom what I recall there was no big story line or anything like that. It was a quiet transition.
He just eventually fased out of announcing and then his true positon was "revealed" through various storylines.
Of course if that was to happen today then there would be a huge story arc surrounding it.

Iron man match between HBK & Bret Hart in '96 I think it was. As far as lowlights go...was seeing exceptional talents like Curt Henning, Ricky Steamboat and Arn Anderson NOT win the big one before retirement.

Whenever Paul Orndorf would drop his crushing pile driver. Those were the best moments. Lol.

Andre the Giant, (then known as Géant Ferré, simultaneously pinning three midget wrestlers, around 1971.

He was quite svelte back in the day, before he started wearing the caveman unitard:

Every episode of Saturday Nights Main Event. Me and my bros used to sit in front of our first colour TV anticipating it. Oh, and that theme was just so hype.

I would think this would be a no brainer..

I’m imagining Vince McMahon got more involved with the drama aspect as a result of the competition from WCW in the mid to late 90s. That would go with the timeline of the attention shifting back to the WWF by the millennium. The attitude era saved them.

Vince McMahon Sr owned the company, he also secured exclusivity with MSG which gave the WWF a huge advantage over rival wrestling promotions. In 1983 he was told by doctors to get his affairs in order, he had terminal cancer. Vince Jr took over in the fall of 1983, Sr passed away in the spring of 1984.

He never got to see Mr. Socko.

Mark Callaway is a sweet man, always ready to defend his opponent's dignity. The real Koko Beware story, while Undertaker was setting up the Tombstone, the terrified Koko involuntarily farted into his face.

That reminds me of some very old-school Toronto TV show and I can’t think of which one. Same theme song I believe.

City tv fashion?
I think that’s it actually thank you. This was before they were using the intro of I’m Still Standing by Elton John…. I think or am I just getting my Citytv shows mixed up…?
