I grew up in Cali, and there use to be these huge arcades that were loaded with games. It was a common hang out spot after school. There are far too many memroable games to name. Here is a few:
- Street Fighter 2
- Mortal Kombat
- Daytona
- X-Men
- Samuari Warriors
- Time Cruiser
- Lethal Enforcer
Cow patty bingo…. Mortal Kombat, Operation Wolf (I would spend all of my money during lunch shooting fucker’s with this game LOL), Contra, Golden Axe, Robocop, WWF Superstars and X-Men: The Arcade Game, to name a few!
It did progress from the arcade to Net Cafe's, where you would game on PC's. Like I remember throwing countless hours away to the original versions of CounterStrike, GhostRecon, and Age of Empire. Those LAN battles in the internet cafes were brutal. I remember everyone would go smoke a joint first then stumble into one of these places after school and stay until night. PC gaming really killed the arcade world, but playing arcade games once in a while is still fun. Video games are video games after all...
