Re-watching Mad Men.

Unlike a lot of series that were just as good the second time I watched them after they first aired, not quite as really good as I remembered, but still worth watching.

I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that the new season of SurrealEstate has started. It's a Canadian supernatural/horror series about a real estate agency that either helps ghosts in haunted houses to move on or exorcises demons.

It also features a mini-Schitt's Creek reunion with Tim Rozon and Sarah Levy in starring roles.

I watched the Australian version of The Office and enjoyed it, even though they're trying a bit too hard to mirror the American version right down to having its' own Jim and Pam.

I watched Maniac on Netflix purely because I saw that Julia Garner was in it and ended up enjoying it. It's part of a sub-genre that I've dubbed, "Episodes of Black Mirror that have been expanded into full series". It stars Jonah Hill and Emma Stone. I also started Blockbuster the other night, just because I'm a fan of Melissa Fumero after seeing her in Brooklyn 99, and despite the bad reviews, I've been enjoying it. It's your basic workplace sitcom complete with "Will they or won't they?" characters but it's still a fun time waster.

Mad Men is challenging, John Hamm makes us regula schmoes seem insignificant. Don Draper's life is too perfect, even when he gets knocked down he springs back up like Rocco in the WWE. He has women coming out of the woodwork which is not hard to believe for someone as obscenely handsome as John Hamm. I'm getting depressed, especially when I see a fantasy in my face.

Apart from that watching Kiernan Shipka grow up is fun. 2024 was her year with Longlegs and Red One. The later should have become a Christmas classic, the writing was atrocious. The film bombing wasn't Rocco's fault.

KS's next project is a crime thriller called Stone Cold Fox. An adversarial relationship between Fox (KS) and her swami played by Kristen Ritter, Kiefer Sutherland is the crooked cop who works for Ritter.

The last season of The Handmaids Tale.

I watched the first 5 episodes and waiting for the 10th to come out to watch the last 5. This series is probably one of the only seasons that truly pisses me off, yet I can't stop watching it. LOL.
One of the best series I've seen in a long, long time. I've seen every episode since it started. Final season that I'm happy it's ending before it gets too mundane but sad because it's been done so well...even though a few of the characters I'd be happy to eliminate myself. 10th episode is on Tuesday.

Kiernan Shipka and Kaitlyn Dever have the same career trajectory. Both started out as cherubs on hit shows: Mad Men and Justified. Dever's first credit was one memorable episode of Curb your Enthusiasm. In their respective career's the sky's the limit.

I recently starting watching Northern Exposure on Amazon. I'm not quite through the first season, but I'm considering not continuing. Only 3 of 6 seasons appear to be available.

I'm going through S2 of The Bear, they added someone who's better looking than Matty Matheson.

Currently watching the movie "Mountainhead", on HBO/Crave.

It's about four super-rich tech guys who have developed AI that is capable of extremely believable fake social media videos, which are causing wars and conflicts all over the world.

So far quite interesting, with good acting and dialogue. It all takes place in the amazing mountaintop home and surrounding area owned by one of the oligarchs.

Here is the trailer:

After the one hour mark it got pretty silly...
