I started watching Hysteria last weekend and it seems like it's going to be great. I was sold as soon as I saw that Bruce Campbell and Julie Bowen were in it
I also started watching Adolescence started the new season of Black Mirror this morning.

When SNL whiff, they wiff hard. Not even the comic genius of Sarah Sherman could pull this sketch out of the cesspool. They decided to ridicule Aimee Lee Wood, to quote Keith Moon, "it fell like a Lead Zeppelin". Aimee Lee Wood is gorgeous, her overbite is part of her charm. She's sweet/sexy, the new Terri Garr. If she fixed her teeth she'd lose her identity, potentially losing her career.

I thought this was a great take-down of Trump, the White Lotus, and its fans. I agree the Sarah Sherman part wasn't funny.

3 episodes into Black Mirror season 7. The first episode is disturbing. Next two great stories, well told, but not a bad. Sometimes with this series one episide is enough at a time.

Haven't gotten to the Paul Giamatti and USS McCalister sequel stories yet.

Lorne Michaels is hinting at stepping down as Executive Producer of SNL, he's lobbying for Tina Fey to take his place.

Tina Fey's writing chops are still sharp, she has limited series coming out on Netflix on May 1.

Maybe not a popular opinion but i find SNL to be slow and far too obvious humour. Take a funny expression/situation and repeat over and over. Their UK accent impressions are not well researched and their UK based characters all seem to be very plummy or exaggerated Scottish (if it's not Scottish it's crap) stereotypes. Never been a fan of SNL.

I agree. It's very hit or miss...I could not sit through an entire program. However, every once and while a skit hits the mark and gets good exposure on social media.

Basically an unfunny cunt steps down to be replaced by an even more unfunny cunt.
Although she did a good Sarah Palin. Not funny, but a good mimic.

I'm catching up on Black Mirror now, lost track after S1. So far the episode with John Hamm as a cyber interrogator and the dynamic duo of Kelly McDonald and Faye Marsay attempting to stop a cyber Armaggedon are the top episodes inho.

In other news, Blake Lively has filed an $89 million lawsuit against NBCUniversal for defamation on SNL. Sarah Sherman is catching flak for her awkward spoof of Aimee Lee Wood, she didn't do anything stupid. Instead, she arranged to be in the same restaurant as Ron Bennington (the Godfather of the NYC comedy circuit) hopping to get his support. It worked Bennington calmed turbulent waters on his next radio broadcast.

A couple of episodes into "Your Friends And Neighbours" with Jon Hamm. Worth watching imho.

But it's a good thing I like Jon Hamm's acting, cuz the premise is a bit silly.
