It's happened often enough. You greet each other and it's a very nice thing.

To ignore each other other is immature and rude.

I have a friend who's a kindergarten teacher. She said her kids are always shocked when they see her out in public. It's like they can only associate her with school and don't know what to think when they see her out of that environment.

I've never seen an SP in public, but I think if I did, I would act just like those kindergarten kids; stand in awe with mouth agape, pointing and then I would hide behind my mother's skirt!
