Hi everyone, so I’m originally from Toronto, and I have been living out west for 8 years now, and I’m going to be coming down November 4-7, to visit family and to do a mini tour, and I’m wondering what suggestions people have for something to do Saturday day and evening.

The last time I was there was this past summer, and I was surprised to see many things changed since I lived there, including some of my once favourite restaurants that no longer are there. I also don’t know if there may be some live bands or what venues to go to that would be fun to do. So I’m open to any suggestions, as I want to make sure I have a really fun trip while I’m there, and Saturday will be the only day and evening I won’t be working and want to fully enjoy myself. Suggestions anyone?

Its a big place - what part of Toronto are you basing out of?

That will influence if it is worth it maybe just spending an hour on the 401 trying to get across town.

Depending on the day and how much end of season road construction snarls you up.

I’m working out of Newmarket when I come, but I want to do something Saturday day and night, which is the one day I won’t be working. I would like to find something downtown, Toronto, and used to frequent Queen West a lot when I lived there. But the last time in was there many places changed, closed or down. I also don’t know if there would be any special events going on. I just want to make sure I have a very fun trip, as I probably won’t be out that way for a few months from now, again.

I'd love to take you out anywhere in the city. LMK and I'll be your personal guide for the night!

Try Korean foods if you like foods of other cultures. There are literally hundreds of very good Korean restaurants along Yonge Street from Sheppard Avenue all the way north pass Steeles Avenue.

I have found Korean foods in the GTA are just mind blowing. I lived out West in Alberta for over seven years and found foods scene in Alberta sucks especially foods of other cultures.

Queen West is back to being lively after the pandemic, the nightlife scene is on King west (Bathurst To Spadina) on Saturday nights.

Korean food is excellent but I'm going one step further.

The City is a massive cultural mosaic, Parkdale is being revitalized as Little Tibet. Our city has the largest Tibetan Community outside China/India.

OMFG Tibetan trippa!

Oh wow these names bring back memories! It’s been so long since I have been to them. Thank you. I am going to for sure need to find a friend to go to one while I’m there if I can. Much appreciated.
I believed they reopened in late spring of 2021.

Now that's he's a producer/actor on the hit show The Bear, does Matty Matheson still live in Parkdale.

He showcased Parkdale on his show Dead Set on Life, West Parkdale is now known as Little Tibet. Oh no, The Differin Gate Diner is gone.

...anyway, if going to discover Little Tibet, this is what I'd want first.

Some "tourist" suggestions, even if you might have done them already:

- Ripleys Aquarium.
- CN Tower.
- Art Gallery of Ontario.
- Royal Ontario Museum.
- Seeing a Leafs or Raptors game if they are in town.
