I think I'd like to be a lefthanded reliever in the bigs. I actually am lefthanded, and I think it would be a pretty sweet gig to make millions just having to pitch to one batter a day. Now, granted, those batters tend to be guys like Barry Bonds or David Ortiz, but still, it doesn't sound too taxing.

Neat idea for a poll. I picked 3 point shooter in the NBA. I played bball in high school and shooting is prettty much all i could do, lol. No moves whatsoever, i could dunk if I had the room but i think i dunked twice in 4 years, but stand me outside and Id nail em. I LOVED the feeling of hitting that shot, the mesh ripppling, the crowd going wild, ok my mom and dad anyway. Sooooo thats what i picked,

Switch hitting utility infielder with wheels

Always a job and a 1MM+ paycheque in either league

This is an interesting poll. I chose 3pt shooter only because I think I would make more money doing so then the other sport. I don't see many picking the football option because that is just far to taxing on the body. I would only play hockey if it was for the Leafs. (Go Leafs Go) My second option would be the pitching becaue I love baseball. An interesting addition to the poll would be a world class striker in Soccer. They make big bucks, and who wouldn't want to live in Europe and be a big goal scorer.

A reliever, no question.

Aside from the money, a lefty reliever has been a commodity since almost the invention of the game. There never seems to be enough to satisfy all the teams. You're always going to be needed. Those other specialties have more of a likelihood of being overstocked or at the very least more competitive in terms of employment.

Anywhere you want
A short yardage running back would be used a lot more than any of these other guys and if he's really good it would completely turn the game around.

A lefty reliever would pitch to one or two batters in a game.

A three point shooter is great but he still needs the teamates to get him the open shot.

A shoot out guy in hockey would only get to show his skills once every 8-10 games, and you still need the help of the other two guys or your goalie.

I have a dumb question, dumb because it is my poll.

In baseball, most teams have a lefty in the bullpen whose job is to get the other team's toughest left handed batters out.

In football, some teams have a short yardage back, but more often than not, it is the starters who are called upon to get those tough yards.

Most pro basketball teams have a number of guys who can shoot the 3, so the pure 3 point specialist seems like a luxury.

So my question is, in hockey, are there really that many teams who have a shoot out specialist?

I'd say there's a grand total of ZERO.

In HS I played DT, so I was one of the guys that got to either tackle or tie up the lead blocker....sometimes it was easy....I was 5'11 and 245 in my Senior year.....so most of the time I was a bit bigger than who I was against....I loved 3rd and short because I knew the whole offense was coming at ME......:D
