I first heard it in 1984 on the radio station 93.7 WBLK during their nightly "Quite Storm" 12am radio show. I bought the album "Who's Afraid (of the Art of Noise?)" and the 12" single one week after when I got my next pay chq.lol
That was when I was in high school in 84.

Since it was released it was a staple at every R&B party that I went too and at over 10min long was the #1 requested trac at parties to slow dance (grind) too.lol

In fact we (the local R&B community) even gave it a nick name back in the days and called it "Moments in Scrub" since every time it played at the basement parties EVERYBODY was grinding on their partner to it.lol
