What is a something that you would use/do to make you happy or at least calm your nerves? For me I personally love to listen to a great video essay and colour in one of my Mandalas

GTL. Gym, tan and laundry Paisano!!
I should add on a more serious note, I got the Harry Potter books recently and Lord of the Rings for a steal on Kiji and have been wanting to kick back on the couch and read them at some point.
A little gym and then reading would be a good time.

I'm being honest here. A walk along a beach, a snack, a beer with friends ... may sooth the depression but it's still there haunting you.
What I notice is that when my buddy is up, my mood is up. I can never remember being in anything but a happy mood when my buddy is up.
Shitty day at the office ? Drop over to a local rub & tug and I feel happy and alive !

Going out for a run, no matter how it looks outside, or what part of my body hurts. Big bonus if the dog come along.
Golfing(even though I'm terrible) with my friends. Always have lots of laughs.
