what kind of traffic can I expect going to Toronto on Friday for a 9am appt?

I;m from the Kitchener area and have an appointment in toronto on Bay st on friday at 9 am. I'm trying to estimate on how long it will take me to get there? So if anybody commutes on the 401 east, 427 south and the gardiner expressway, how the traffic in the mornings?

My guess would be much lighter traffic, last long weekend of the summer, people ain't working that hard! I'd recommend you pick up the 407 at Mississauga, then 427, then Gardiner. All in from Kitchener, 90 mins should be ok, unless it is pouring rain or accidents.

You can expect grid lock there is a small free up time around 11am. then for the lunch hour downtown rush from like 12 to 2pm its murder.

with school not starting yet you might get a call small break from 3pm til about 5pm then from 5 pm til about 9pm your back in grid lock.

So leave early and hope for the best.

Bad call, leave at least by 7 am and pray, you never know what can happen along the way, especially as you approach the downtown core.
I would do the opposite to see a couple of hot Kitchener ladies, but I found no traffic going West.

I would say min. 2 hrs to get there, then add a 1/2 hour to get off the Gardiner, find a place to park and get where you are going.

This is good advise if your priority is cutting it as close as you can and it doesn't really matter if you are late. Give yourself at least 2 hours.

Traffic on Bay Street will be as you should hope your session will be. Bumper to bumper. Better to get on the GO train in Mississauga. Union stn in 20 minutes. TTC or cab from Union station.
