Not 1 penny more than someone else will pay for it.

How old is the stuff. What is the current new cost for it or similar items?

Consumer electronic stuff has pretty low resale value as a general rule. I have been around the industry for 20 plus years and the old addage of "it is always cheaper and faster next week" still applies.

32140 doesn't make any sense. Could you be more specific?
Any optical drives in it?
Is it bare-bones hardware or what's installed?

The motherboard is worth $55 and is at the bottom end for Asus motherboards. It doesn't fully support the ddr2 667 kingston ram as the motherboard only runs it at 533 MHz.
The memory is worth $48.
Intel doesn't make a Core 2 Duo that runs at 1.6 GHz!?!?!?!

no arguments

1.60 mhz core 2 duo, that is nit picking and I don't have time for it my friend aka no offers no framework to work with. Will be reworking the configs on the 2 boxes and nothing for sale in the end. Getting 2g's ozc ram and transfering the media centre be to be workhorse. Thatz why I didn't post on the buy/sell zone

have a good one, and ..............

It's probably a 1.86 which Intel does make
More likely an E2140 (not 32140), which Intel does make.

That's a Pentium Dual Core, not a Core 2 Duo. And yes, it's a 1.6GHz cpu.

The Intel E2140 Dual Core has an 800 Mhz Front Side Bus.
The Asus P5VD2-MX-SE has a 1066 Mhz Front Side Bus and supports DDR2 533 Mhz RAM
The Kingston DDR2 memory is supposed to run at 667 Mhz
It just seems like a bad combination of parts.

The System bus on the Asus P5VD2-MX-SE is spec'ed at 1066/800/533 MHz.

Who really cares about a statement that the motherboard might perform differently with a different processor? Perhaps a certain critic might wish to list which currently available Intel cpus use the 1066MHz FSB? And really, so what if the RAM can be clocked faster than the bus, as long as it's designed for compatibility (as all are; the RAM is just underclocked).

My apologies. The manual says that, but Asus's website info only states 1066. Anyone that may be interested in buying it would care if there were timing issues between the motherboard and CPU.

Stating the system's memory is 667 Mhz would lead anyone to believe that's how fast it's running, and in this case it's not.
In the Kingston Value line, the 667 memory has a clock speed of 5CL. Kingston 533 memory has a clock speed of 4CL. If both are running at 533 Mhz, the 533 memory would be faster and cost less to buy.
Compatibility is one thing, performance is another.
It could have been a faster computer for less money if more attention to details were paid.

Anyone who thinks a memory spec on its own is a good indicator of a system's overall performance is sorely ill-informed. Memory speed says nothing about the cpu performance, wait states, typical application, or any of a number of more important factors.
