Not really sure of the spelling - percs or perks maybe.

Google seems to suggest its just percocet but someone else thinks its a form of heroin.

Anyway a friend had a whole pill and has been sick like a dog all day and someone else was surprised he didnt die.

Any clue what it is?

What is the drug perc? It is 'a drug'... and drugs are bad mmmmkay? did you want us to give you its scientific name and breakdown of chemical properties or what?

might get better help in a narcotic forum

Nausea is a common side effect of the oxycodone in Percocet, your friend may well be more sensitive than most people.

Well I'm just trying to see if it is a form of heroin or just a painkiller. One person experienced in drugs said it was the former and one pill is almost an overdose.

Game boy is right about the formulation of percocet. One tablet would not explain significant illness except for short lived side effects or allergic reaction. Side effects include nausea and vomiting. Acute allergic reactions can occur as with any drug. The problem with Percocet is that the tablets can be dissolved in water relatively easily. Therefore it has been used to inject intravenously by drug addicts. If he is sick for more than a few hours he should seek medical attention.

Since your friend doesn't have a prescribed bottle of percocet, I'm assuming he got it from the street. If it was sold as perc at $5 a pill, most likely it was a 5mg pill. On its own with a full stomach, there may be some dizziness, but not sickness that would last a whole day , unless there was some other drugs or alcohol involved.

Two questions:
Why does someone think it was heroine, and why was someone surprised he didn't die?

I use Percoset occasionally when pain becomes excrutiating and my understanding is that Percoset is opium based.

Percocet does not get you sick like that... It is used as a pain killer and for anxiety so I can only assume who ever gave that pill to you did some re-branding

i used to crush up 2, snort one in the left nostril, 1 up the right, then i would swallow 2 wait an hour and swallow 2 more. that was always a good start to the night. snorting gets it going fast, the first 2 pick up the pace the last 2 just put you right where you need to be.

if your buddy is puking after taking one it is an allergic reaction and he shouldn't be taking them. take the rest of his pills away, flush them down the toilet. send him to the dr to get a new pain killer.

Percs are a fantastic pain killer. Fantastic. I hope Ontario is forced to allow generic Oxycontin to be made available; it works wonders for those who can take it as required.

My doc prescribed Percoset for my pain but the pharmacy gave me the cheaper generic brand which says Oxycodone right on the label, so they must be the same medication. Only one is name brand and the other generic.
