where OP asked for recommendation for his "scat" play (bang them so hard anally that they lose their bowel movement)?
Was it deleted because of the content or because people were bickering/arguing with each other? Or some other reason?
I'm just curious. Thanks.

because of the bickering and arguing... it was easier to pull the thread than edit it...

I understand another one was pulled recently by the OP because of some name calling. Some OPs tend to do that when they start to lose ground and begin to look like a fool. It's not always the mods doing. Let the thread stand you sniveling cowards (sorry, got carried away) for all the members to read and make up their own minds what really going on.
A few members do that regularly. I guess they don't want to leave evidence around. If they want the thread to die, just don't contribute.

I agree.

It's an anonymous forum, for Pete's sake. It's not like anyone in your real world is going to know what you've posted. I don't see any need to engage in revisionist history when it comes to a person's postings.

It is the opinion of moderating team that bickering and arguing provide no benefit to TERB or the majority of its members. Such threads will continue to be removed and, if necessary, the perpetrator's as well.

In other words, if you must bicker, take it elsewhere.

With all due respect, if those guidelines were equally applied, the Political Forum would be all but empty. That is virtually all that goes on there. There is much benefit. It may be obvious only to some but there is often a positive outcome to some of the heated debates that materialize. As far as taking it elsewhere, there are a large number of the moderate thinkers who have done just that and they are greatly missed.

Maybe it's because the political forums aren't so heavily frequented and the guys there understand that going back and forth is the norm. :D
Whereas the traffic for sexual related stuff and the general forum are more heavily trafficked?
Could be wrong, but that's my guess.

The political Forum is for those willing to step into a blood sport arena, but if the recent 'black guy' threads are a sample of what is popular and accepted by the large majority of the members, we have a problem Houston. The last two major threads in the Lounge that made any long term 'contribution' were the garbage strike thread and the H1N1 thread. a long time ago and with many many more contributors. How long ago were they? Can anyone think of another since?

As i said earlier, one of the threads was pulled by the OP so it's not just a 'mods' thing. I'm not singling them out one bit.

I think the problem wasn't the arguing but the fact that it was basically becoming a shouting match/name calling thread between the posters.

I have to agree with you here. It may not always be "in the spirit" of the terb, but it has it's uses.

The problem is that a surprising number of people have no idea how to debate. All too frequently, it declines into name calling and, well, bickering, with no points being discussed beyond the other poster's parentage.

The politics forum is handled somewhat differently and one goes there at their own risk. That being said, should a poster get too far over the line even there, steps will be taken.

And before someone says "just remove the offending posts" - that takes far longer than it might seem, with quoting and so forth to be edited. So most of the time, the threads will be removed.

Speaking of Monty P, a four part series on Bravo starts tonight for the next 4 nights. Thank goodness for PVRs.
