Yee haw, Humble and Fred are getting the hell out of Misogyny radio.
I was an avid CFNY listener when Humble and Fred were on there, but I can't stand that ******* Dean Blundel. He has to be the biggest tool on the air today. Danger Boy isn't funny anymore, Sandra Plagagus took off somewhere else.
I used to listen to Deringer but haven't very much at all in the last several months. He (Deringer) has gotten to be too sanctamonious and he has turned into an old coot in a lot of ways. (And he's only 40 I think). I get soooooo tired of listening to the world according to Deringer and him spouting off with his right wing conservative crap. And the music on Q 107 frankly is really moldy. (How many times can you listen to Born to Wild?? And Deringer seems to think that Leonard Skynard are the greatest thing since the Beatles - give me a break, if i hear sweet fucking home alabama one more time....) I actually think Deringer is slightly, no, a lot, manic. The whole "tool of the day" needs to be give a bullet already.
When Humble and Fred were on Cfny, it was the perfect combination of great music and funny DJ's. When they switched to Mojo, i abandonned them since i couldn't stand the am format and that idiotic station they were on. "Talk radio for guys" Spare me the red neck shit please.
I am looking forward to hearing humble and fred on 99.9, but wondering what the feel of the show will be like.
This kind of reminds me of Jessie and Gene. When they left Q way back when for more money on am 640, they were at the top of their game, but spiraled into oblivion after that. They never recovered, or went onto anything. I think they made a brief attempt to come back to FM, but the damage was done. I have no idea where either is now.
Humble and Fred are following very similar patterns I would say.
What ever happened to Brother Jake on Q 107??
