I want to spend less time online and more time with my nose in a book…consistently. I used to be a voracious reader… but the ubiquity and convenience of social media/streaming platforms …I feel that I have become lazy and into the short format crud. I love great tv shows and movies, however the attention span requires maintenance.
My goal is to read 5-10 books a month.
Currently, I am reading “A Short Stay in Hell” by Steven L. Peck and I’m enjoying it.

I tend the read more non fiction than fiction. That said, I'd highly recommend William Gibson and his earlier books. Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive are masterworks. He coined the term cyberspace in this series. Probably the best cyberpunk books out there

I've been trying to read the Master and Commander series of novels. It's 21 books though so it might take a while because I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to attention span.

I love reading ! So far this year I have read more than 15 books.

Im currently reading A court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas . It is part of a series that has 5 books.

I have about 300 or so on my TBR list.

My next reads are a few by James Patterson & Jeffrey Archer.

I read those for the first time years after watching the LOTR movies and it really made it feel better in my opinion because I could put faces and voices to names...

Right now I'm in the middle of a Chuck Palahniuk book I picked up at a second hand book store called Rant: The Oral Biography of Buster Casey. It's all sorts of weird but incredibly interesting and captivating.
