lets hear some lyrics
This great song was originally recorded in 1952 by Jo Stafford, but IMHO, the best recording was by Patsy Cline who again IMO, was the best female country singer back in the 1950s and her recordings which I have most of are still some of the best country ballads today. Died in a plane crash at age 31.

What happenedI love Patsy but I do find I lean into the Bob Dylan version, something moody and sorrowful about it that I find more... true to ballads.
So many greats lost in plane crashes in those days
Two great songs by him. Baker Street and Right Down The Line. Could listen to them all day . He was Scottish but wouldn't know it in his singing voice.
