Over lock down I loaded Audacity, hooked my older laptop with it on it o the stereo and digitized the A side of most of my wife and my 45's.
It is now on a USB key or two in .wav format, and the tunes pour out very nicely when ever we are in the car.
Catchy tunes from about 1972-85

Audacity is great. Have it, it does a lot.
Years ago I digitized all my music when we got it from Napster, Limewire, Kazaa, AudioGalaxy and Newsgroups. Newsgroups were the best! Got everything I ever wanted from them but saved them as MP3s, as WAV files were too large IMHO. Was happy with 192 and 320 bitrate MP3 files. Ended up so far with ~ 55 GBs of files, about 10,000 songs/albums on a couple 64GB Flashdrives. So have room on those drives to add even more files as needed. Take a thumb-drive and plug it in my vehicle and have endless music and never have to listen to any commercials on the radio anymore! It's great!

ok my babies....can this old man interject some music that employs real musical instruments and does not rely on drum machines and insipid lyrics and auto tone or auto voice /or whatever it called.........real songs sung by real people about real emotions.....and not candy floss videos that imply naughtiness which is directed at 17/18 males whose libidoes are starting to rage
