Does anyone know who Huddle William Leadbetter, better known as Lead Belly, is?
He wrote three of the most iconic songs of the 60's House of the Rising Sun, Midnight Special and Gallows Pole. Since he was long gone, Jimmy Page decided to steal the last one for himself.

my dear Terb Friend IV...its Huddie ....my late father owned a couple of yellow coloured 75.s...which are now in my collection......the music is a little arcane for me....but if i had to be subjected to Page ripping off a Blues Giant..i would puke into my mouth

Never a fan of the group, however, Robert Plant, now in his mid 70s is still doing recordings in particular with Allison Kraus whose music I just love and his voice is quite good. They have done, I believe a couple of albums which are great, IMO.
