Thunder and Lightning came out in 1983, it was Thin Lizzy's best album to that point. The next album should have been a monster, instead Phil Lynott self-destructed. That monster album went to David Coverdale instead, he nearly blew it before it started. Coverdale has the image and the voice - but he isn't very smart.
