Actually you were reading my mind because there are a couple of excellent offering new to the LCBO and I wanted some advice on what makes a good bourdon. We have shown as a community to have excellent knowledge of beers, scotches, wines, and so ...................

What are your favourite bourbons and why? I've tried a mint julep in N'Orleans and it didn't grab, but a bourbon and branch might.

I am sure you are aware I am trying to finish drinking Yoichi 15 year before trying other whiskeys.

Having said that, I may consider Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select since unlike many bourbons, it's triple distilled similar to the Irish cousins, except corn is used instead of barley.

BTW, Bourbons are too sweet to my taste.....

Are you sure? The last time I checked Louis XIII cost almost 28 hundred at LCBO

BTW, I was content to enjoy a couple of glasses of cheap ones like Remy Martin VSOP.....free last time.

A Petit Louis is about $500 but the real stuff is Louis XIII Black pearl about $44,000.

A few hundred to me is about $10,000
