So now I'm up and running with Vista. I have McAfee installed and I know people say it's not the best but I've already paid for the year so I'm going to stick with it until my subscription runs out.

What other anti-spyware/malware stuff should I be running? McAfee had a conflict with Windows Defender so I'm not running that.

Suggestions?

On XP and Vista I'm careful where surfing and use:

Avast
CCleaner
Ad-Aware
Spybot Search and Destroy
Registry Mechanic

On linux I go everywhere, hit all the 'suspect sites' and use:

Nothing

Windows Defender is a decent app and it plays well with Avast.
I'd dump McAfee.
