According to a Reuters article, a German court has ruled that the Web site that hosted a series of Internet auctions for the services of an escort last Spring must reveal the names of the winners after she became pregnant.
The operator of the website had refused to release the men’s identities citing a confidentiality clause in its terms and conditions. The court ruled for the woman saying “the child's right to know who its father was took precedence.” Perhaps the journalist writing the story has a sense of humor since it concludes “The court declined to give the woman's age and nationality.”
