Were You Affected By The Ice Storm?

Lost power for only 60 hours, but just enough to cancel the Christmas dinner we were supposed to host for 22 friends and family. Slipped while clearing ice and fell down a flight of stairs. I'm too old for this shit. Going to find me some sunshine.

Did not lose power at all, except for five minutes or less on Tuesday night. Crisis? What crisis? We did take in a family member who needed help.

Just heard on CP 24 that homeowners in the Mount Pleasant area who moved their cars to avoid falling trees got parking tickets.

I guess it was a chance to clean out the fridge

LOL Yes, same here. That's the bright side I guess but I also threw out a bit of food. I put the frozen stuff outside in a cooler but had to throw out milk, eggs, mayonnaise, etc.

I was out for about 43 hours.

Only lost power for 4 hrs Sunday night. We took in some family friends for a few days as they were without power until Christmas Day evening.

Of course I was affected...my power was out almost 6 days, lost a lot of food.....got a sore back from the cold getting into my bones. not much else..

With the temperature near zero, why didn't you simply leave the fridge door open? Or stick it in an unused room with the window cracked open?
