Yes. Power was out for a few days. Other family members only got it back yesterday.

I guess it was a chance to clean out the fridge

Not affected directly...i had power the whole time..but my family was not so fortunate...they came over and stayed with me...didnt mind though..it was fun having them over..just the logistics of having 9 ppl in ur place instead of 1 is something i was not prepared for

This really should be did you loose your electricity for more than a few hours.

Was I affected yes, was I lucky enough that not being in the worst hit areas I wasn't affected in the long term again yes.

Yes, I was affected, as I was out of power for almost exactly 12 hours this past Sunday (9AM to 9PM). However, I count myself fortunate that I was only out of power during that day and not for several days (including on Tuesday when the temperature dipped to -15 degrees Celsius).

My home in Markham was out for 1 full day, my underground bunker has enough reserve power for 10 years.

My power went out briefly last-Sunday.

Today we lost power :(

I am so sorry for those who had an extended outage... I am lucky to be able to put myself on schedule and suddenly be available..... I can survive and I am used to using hotels...

I hope my power is on when I go home.... but it's not a big deal for me. I really hope those of you who have no power will have it soon.

My power disruptions were fairly minor and I have no complaints there. I was somewhat affected in that I project I will be spending 6-8 hours wielding a chainsaw this weekend in my yard.

Hell ya I was affected!

Power went out just as I was making dinner for my kid-units! Delayed dinner by about 20 minutes!

But I guess that pales in comparison to most...

Very sorry to hear some of the horror stories out there. Shows to go ya, how much we rely on such things. :faint:

In my condo near Liberty Village, the lights didn't even flicker. My sister's power was out until Christmas Eve, so she stayed here while I was at work all day and warmed up in the hot tub.

I just arrived at a Resort outside Montreal late last night. Part of the place is on a large generator which has everything running (including my chalet). The trees are a still covered with a thick layer of ice. The place is in the middle of a forest and it looks quite pretty. I was walking to a neighbouring chalet where some friends were. It looks like I should wear my ski helmet in case the ice starts to fall off the branches. I'm also wondering if more branches will fall! I' m glad I took a rental car!

I like outside Toronto and was fortunately spared power outage. sorry to hear if anyone here was affected.

On the bright side it looks like great skiing is ahead!
