As much as it pains me to say it, this board was much more entertaining when Goober and Fang were here.... one of the best TERB parties included watching them fawn over Badkat to pretend they werent really a gay couple.

Time to vent!

In the past it's been fun, but now I see that I've posted 11,000 damn times. There are different people here now, newbies, oldbies, asshats, jerks, outright assholes.

I am well known on Merb and among Montreal hobbyist. However, like you, I've gotten sick and tired of all the crap that goes on the boards there. You got new guys getting into flame wars, old retired guys that come to post on the Yankees , and many idiots who know squat about hobbying who think they know everything after a few encounters.

Most of these guys couldn't get laid unless they paid for it. It's pathetic listening to them boast aboout how special they are (where have I heard that before). The SPs play them like fools.

The thing that really pisses me off is that these boards should focus PRIMARILY on SP reviews and threads relating to the hobby. A few other subjects are fine but the focus needs to be clear.

So why am I here? I like the participation on Terb but there are way too many members posting. Mod 5 banned me on Merb because I called some sap an imbecile for telling me to be upfront with my wife and revealing my hobbying escapades. (Uuuh, hello???)

I got banned on an other board because I cannot stand the bullshit that goes on with some members and the lies they spread.

I asked Fred Zed to get involved and to reinstate me but he prefers to dismiss me. That is fine....the Montreal board is slowly dying ever since I was banned.

There are few members that can consistently come up with threads that focus on relevant subjects on hobbying. I can research and deliver excellent threads but I am beginning to think that these boards will fall victims to their own success.

Some of the best hobbyist have left the Montreal boards. They are there but they simply refuse to post any longer. They are fed up with all the crap on the boards.

All this to say that I understand why you decided to say FUCK IT!

1. Too many people have a damn computer and an opinion.

Here I am posting on this message board and I realize nobody really ever gave two shits what I wrote. Nor do I care what they all write. For instance, Meesh posted the other day something to the effect of something or other, but I didn't really read it. Why should I? It didn't concern me directly.

You know what I do? I spend most of my time here doing searches on variations of my handle just to see if Rusty or Pedro or pool (where the fark is he?) or Sheik are talking about me, because that's important to me in my sad existence I call an on-board life. And when I find someone talking about me in that way, I pull out the old meat missile and rub it until my keyboard is sticky with man-goo. It's fun, to me.

2. There are too many newbies on TERB, and on the internet in general

How many people laugh when I mention AlphaCare and their crack legal team? How many people know about yatches and the french posters surrendering when Berlin posts? How many know about Shania's Thong and the verbal ass-kicking several of us administered to him? How many actually have figured out that I'm not a farking moderator here anymore, so stop PMing me asking why your thread was deleted, to delete your thread or to ban someone who was posting in your thread.

Jesus.

I'm getting a damn headache as I read some posts. I mean, is it that tough to hit the extra key or two to type "great" instead of "gr8"? Holy shit people. Write in complete sentences. Use proper grammar and spelling. Don't use AOLer LOL ROFL l337 haXX0r script-kiddie vernacular. You don't look cool.

Wait, sorry. You may look cool in the same way as when you drive your lowered 1992 Acura Integra down Yonge Street with gangsta rap pounding out the 14-inch sub-woofers shaking the glass on all the store-fronts. You may look cool in the same way as when you strut down the damned street with you pants half-way down your ass, your hat on sideways and your fake gold chains rattling against a chest bereft of hair.

In short, you look like a tool. Some may find you cool, but they're tools too.

So to sum up, I'm done with it. I've met several intriguing people on here. Several stunning, beautiful, sexy, incredible, witty, intelligent, hot, humourous and muscu...oh wait, no that was me in the mirror this morning. Well, there are others on this board like that too. I mean, you can crack walnuts on Cardinal Fang's ass. We did it. At IKEA. Except they weren't walnuts, they were hot sticky swedish meatballs, and Fang just stuffed them down his pants so we didn't have to pay for them....but I digress.

So that's it. I'm done with retirement threads. No more. I'm not leaving, so fuck you all.

sure there is alot of BS out there but take a BREAK. Sabbatical come back in the spring or something. But the point is once you go online it is too much fun to leave forever. Hope to see you again in the not-to-distant future.

First of all, your popularity on MERB doesnt buy much here, and I happen to love the Yankees (even though they should definitely get rid of A-Rod and try to get two good front line pitchers for him in return).

This has to be one of the all-time funny comments I've ever read on TERB. Maybe you can use your tremendous MERB popularity to get a few thousand members banned here so you can have things more to your liking? LOL

I object to Muffin Muncher's suggestion that the Yankees drop A-ROD. Give the poor guy a break. Sure we pick on him here but that doesn't effect his cash flow. I know that he has suffered severe financial loss as a result of his endorsement of those defective products that had to be recalled. His cross claim against the chinee manufacturer is going nowhere.

You do take those Yankees comments seriously, to the point where you follow me here on Terb. Perhaps you would like to share with the Terb board how you "retired" from the hobby but still lurk there all day posting comments once in a while on your Yankees thread.

Yeah, the boards in Montreal are very peaceful now....a little too peaceful if you know what I mean. I wonder where many of the great veteran hobbyists have disappeared to. All I know is that the boards there aren't the same any longer.

Looks like you're a pretty quick read. Muffin Muncher pretty much nailed your act with one one post.

And you did leave out a couple of salient points. You were not just banned on merb, you were banned on both Montreal boards and the merb/terb/perb chatroom for conduct unbecoming homo sapiens.

BTW, in today's issue of the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry, your expected life span on terb has been estimated at 72 hours.
