Surprise week last week - Baltimore, Minnesota and Pittsburgh didn't cover.
But
some of the money picks came in - New England, Indy, NYJ, Philly and Buffalo (despite Bledsoe.lol).
A new week - new betting opportunities....lets see -
1pm games
Chi 5-7 @ Jak 6-6 - I almost got lynched last week - so God help me; I thought Urlacher was injured. Chicago stood tall vs Minnesota (24-14) and the Jags almost eeked one out (another foot to the left - but, he was hooking it right all night). Chicagos defense certainly looks different with Urlacher in. Will be a close spread -
NYG 5-7 @ Blt 7-5 - the Giants are out of the playoffs (playing Jr too early cost them). Blt front line looked weak in the closing quarter but the secondary looked solid - disappointing performance vs Cin (loss 26-27). Blt should be favored at home.
Ind 9-3 @ Hou 5-7 - Ind is offensively unstoppable (even with Tenns attempt at the back of the book onside kicks). Hou has started its end of season slide...its like an avalanche. Ind will bury them indoors - double digit spread.
Cle 3-9 @ Buf 6-6 - Buf DT Pat Williams rumbled in the last minutes with an int to break the spread open. Bledsoe had his best game yet - 19/30 227yds for 4 tds - hopefully he can keep that up next week. Cleveland got skull f@*%ed by NE 42-15. Cle is still in trouble - too many injuries to key players. Buf should get 6.
NO 4-8 @ Dal 4-7 - NO - too little - too late during last weeks game. Car creamed them in the first half. Dal is coming off a short week with a Monday game at Seattle. The Tuna will not go quietly - this should be a 4 pointer. Cowboys showed a lot of grit in the 1st half vs Sea. J Jones is gonna be a solid RB - too bad the George isn't what he used to be.
Oak 4-8 @ Atl 9-3 - TB figured out Vick (shutout 27 -0) - 2 ints in the end zone for the Bucs D. Why dont they roll Vick out into the flats? Oak got into a shootout with KC (and lost 27-34) - mistake.
Atl will play better at home...give them 3.5 or 5.
Sea 6-5 @ Min 7-5 - Minn is starting to self destruct? Minn is susceptible to weather outdoors (loss to Chicago 24-14). Minn will be looking for blood - Sea is coming off a Monday night game - Minn by less than a td...maybe. Sea finds ways to lose - they drop balls all day.
Cin 6-6 @ NE 11-1 - Palmer had his best game last week - Chad Johnson had a good show as well 10 catches 161 yds with 2 tds and TJ Houshmandzadeh 10 catches - 171 yds and a td. BUT now they face the Pats...nevermind the offense, last weeks D had 3 sacks, 2 ints and a fumble return for a td. Its gonna be a big spread.
4pm games -
NYJ 9-3 @ Pit 11-1 - Pennington played well. Martin 23 carries - 134 yds for 1 td - he's closing in on 1300 yds and 13000 career yds. NYJ line backers are young, run fast and hit hard. The Rookie had a solid outing for 14 for 17 221 yds and 2 tds - plus he had a big run gain! This will be close -give it to the Steelers by a fg.
Mia 2-10 @ Den 7-5 - ok Miami can wake up now - they had a offensive explosion vs the Bills (32 points) but they gave up 35 points and the offense couged up a int to Williams (he rumbled into the endzone) in the closing minutes. Den ran into a hot Chargers team, lost by a fg. Den should close Miami off by a td or so - hope for snow.lol
Det 5-7 @ GB 7-5 - GB in December - brrrr - If Det can capitalize on GBs cover 2 and zone they can win. I said CAN....GB by a td - if it snows even better.
TB 5-7 @ SD 9-3 - Tb is playing a lot better the last 6 weeks- they figured out Vick big time last week. Simeon Rice and the D had 3 ints and 5 sacks. But, SD is the real deal. TB will give it their best shot, and if the D holds it'll be close. But SD reciever attack is potent. Tomlinson had 30 touches for 113 yds and 2 tds. SDs run defense is underrated - theyre tough. SD by 4 or so.
StL 6-6 @ Car 5-7 - StL couldnt cover 10.5 vs SF - offensive numbers for Holt and RB Jackson were pretty good though. Is Marshall on the move for next year? Car put NO away early, they had a 26-7 lead at halftime. I'm really hoping for a Car win...but...
SF 1-11 @ Az 4-8 - God....this is gonna suck. I'd give it to Arz just for being at home. SF did hold the Rams to just 16 points - they only scored 6 though. Az still has rookies all over the backfield. Pick one.
8pm game
Phi 11-1 @ Wsh 4-8 - McNabb threw 5 tds,32/43 464yds and completed the first 14 passes in a row to open the game...Wsh scored more than 20 pts for the first time all year. Wsh D is one of the best - too bad the offense is anemic. Phi is ready for the playoffs. Might be 10 - take the Eagles.
Monday Night
snoozer.....
KC 4-8 @ Ten 4-8 - why? Ten was outclassed by Ind. Priest Holmes and Blaylock injured? KCs defense still blows( gave up 27 points last week) - they're not getting away with it this year, though they managed to outscore last weeks opposition...Oakland. Ten by a fg. I'm giving this to the home team. Even money.
