web cam help

I went out yesterday and finally got a webcam.

I run home all excitied I install the software..... plug it in and I keep getting this message when I try to turn it on "The Labtec webcam is in use by another operation" So... I tryed to see what could be interfearing with it.....nothing. I tryed going to their website for help. I did everything they said. I am still getting the same message "The Labtec webcam is in use by another operation"
Arggggghhh!

Please help me!

Have tried to uninstall the cam??
plug it in and restart your computer.

Then allow the OS to find the cam
and install the software??
