That's a false claim, in fact Fusion used moles to collect information ON Russian spy agencies.
That's a major difference, and the reason why Steele was hiding for his life after the dossier came out.
So they claim. But they are also hiding their financials.
And until it's all wide openly investigated their word means shit. You don't know for a fact about how they obtained things.
And you don't know why Steele ran. Could have been from the Russians, from Fusion, From Clinton. You don't know.

Here I thought the topic was the ethics of investigating one's opponent in a contest, not the protocols of candidates accepting aid from agents of foreign governments.

So far no one has explained why her campaign shouldn't have hired an investigator to look into Trump's reported dealings with Russia and Russians. 'Know your enemy' is SOP in politics, business and war.

The issue isn't that the Dems paid an investigator to look into Trump.
The issue is that the whole Russian "collusion" nonsense and all of the suggestive leaks to the media were driven by partisans on the losing side -- exactly what some of us were saying last summer. It was never a matter of national security.
The Dems lied about the fact that they were the source behind the dossier and were, in fact, the real source of this whole fake news "collusion" story.

That's the defence. The dossier is now in the hands of the FBI, who are looking at charges that could end Trump's presidency.
That money may have found incredible wrong doing by Trump and may have him removed from office.

The dossier has been in the hands of the FBI for 16 months. So I doubt there is anything there. It was also in the hands of several news agencies before the election who declined to publish it. Finally it was leaked to buzzfeed. And even then the press won't release any details because to do so would open them up to a libel suit because no one has been able to confirm anything beyond some meetings took place. What the content of those meetings were and even who met who doesn't appear to be verifiable.
Or they would have reported it.
Soon this will be exposed for the trash that it is. And then watch as the GOP win in the mid terms

He eagerly took up the invitation of a known Russian agent to come and get dirt on Clinton, then lied about doing so.
How's about you deal with the facts instead of juggling them to suit your preferences.
