Warning - robber posing as SP client

The following report was received today. The information is unverified as yet, but it is always good to take all precautions:


"There is a gentleman reported in the North York area, but possibly elsewhere in the GTA, going by the name of 'Tommy'. He is a large black man, sometimes using the number 416-625-****. All reports so far are that he dresses in black, including a black hat.

He shows up at the prearranged place - hotel, apartment, condo - and doesn't try to knock, just tries to walk in. He bangs on the door, plays with the handle trying to get in.

He carries a gun, and has reportedly already tried to rob several SP's. Information has been sent to the authorities.

How do you know this? Are there victim on terb, can they confirm this?

He books appoinments and then go there and try to rob the sp's?
Without even knocking wow this guy seems to be on a mission....A person like him should just find a job. And the gun thing is really creepy...

Chantel from Thornhill her. I don't know if this is at all related, but last Saturday around 11am. I heard something at the door from the bathroom. I walked to the livingroom to see what was going on and my girlfriend who was sleeping on my couch was sitting up,staring bug eyed at the door. She looked really scared which made me scared and told me that for about 2 whole minutes someone was trying to open the doorm turning the door handle. I thought maybe it was just someone who had the wrong apartment,but she said NO WAY because he was movong the handle up and down very slowly and for quite some time. When I asked why she didn't get up and look out the peephole she said she was afraid he might hear her. Dah! Therefore I have no description of this person. I hadno appointments booked for that morning, but that doesn't mean it wasn't someone who phoned previously for the address with a phony appointment. I am not that far from NorthYork. Just a causionary tale. I don't find this type of behaviour the least bit surprising. I'm sure there are LOTS of freaks out there who make there living this way.
