In the small print section of ALL of the antivirus software programs available, you find one instruction that is often overlooked.
After completing your virus scan(s) and removals, restart Windows in "SAFE MODE" and run your scan once again.
Many of the virus's attach in such a way as to be invisible as they're seen as part of the OS.
Running in safe mode means most of your operating system is disabled..ie: it's bare bones...and you may well find the antivirus software finds yet another intrusion.
The first question you'll get from any support team is "did you run the scan in safe mode, if not, the scan is not considered complete"
FWIW
Safe mode is enabled by holding down the F8 key once you see the windows splash screen during boot up. If you have one of the newer "internet or office" style keyboards make sure you've selected F Mode otherwise you won't get into the safe mode part of the system.
