But you also predicted Canada would be in a recession because of Trump's tariffs, and you also claimed Iran had zero chance of shooting down US fighter jets.

So your track record isnt exactly good :D
We are this close to a recession. Some of your right wing brethren claim we are already. Now? This war and Trump's idiocy is so unpredictable for Canada's economy its crazy. In the one hand it looks like our vast resources, food production capabilities and geography are going to protect us. But whether the world can afford it is another thing. The third world could end up with mass suffering if it gets worse. No fuel, no fertilizer and they will be the first ones affected.

As for the jets I bought the hype. Full credit to Iran. They hid their capabilities admirably. Their missile and drone doctrine is a very real game changer. We need to cancel the F-35, go with the Griffen, and hire those Ukrainians to get us a drone doctrine of our own. Manufacture here, and build smaller ships around their launch capabilities.

MTG is still on the warpath. She is killing Trump slowly.

Marjorie Taylor Greene: Umm, WTF is Trump doing?

Historically it is a given that the POTUS usually looses the House and the Senate in their second term.
Trump doesn’t really care about the MAGAs that he duped into voting for him, even those that continue to underwrite him.
Trump is carrying out his American “Mein Kampf”. , and with just under 36 months left, even more surprisingly earth shatter for America and the world will occur. Trump may have made Israel safer in the short term, but in the long term Trump may have started making future American aid and underwriting of Israel to be serious imperilled .

Her words within the MAGA base chip away at Trump's support. Every little missing chip helps in November.
I think at this point anyone leaving because of her has already.

The gas pumps, grocery bills Healthcare premiums, coffins coming home are the real drivers.

I agree with this but the more former MAGA cultists jump ship and go on major networks declaring Trump is a senile dumbass, reminding the base what a clown they've been supporting, the better it is for the midterms and to bury the Republicans in 2028. Mind you, if it's no charm Vance, it's a slam dunk anyway.

The base is not looking at those networks, just call her a traitor, and keep on Trumping on. Americans are selfish and myopic. Especially MAGA if it doesn't affect them directly. So the pocketbook is the only way to slap them. Or their own kids killed. Hell Ive seen boomers saying they would happily see their own grandkids drafted to fight in Iran.

I don't think that's true.

Let me check: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_divisions_of_United_States_Congresses

Since Lincoln:

Ulysses S Grant-> Loses the house.
Grover Cleveland -> Loses both
Teddy Roosevelt -> Loses neither
Woodrow Wilson -> Loses both
Franklin Roosevelt -> Loses neither
Harry S. Truman -> Loses neither
Dwight Eisenhower -> "Loses" both (he didn't have them going in)
Lyndon B Johnson -> Loses neither
Ronald Reagan -> "Loses" both (he didn't have them going in)
Bill Clinton -> "Loses" both (he didn't have them going in)
Barack Obama -> "Loses" both (he lost the Senate, didn't have the House going in)

Can't really say that's a good pattern.

The President usually loses House seats in the Midterm, regardless of whether it is their first or second term, though. With such a tight majority, it is unlikely to stay in GOP hands if that holds.
The Senate has less of a pattern I still think it is a big stretch for the Democrats to take control there.

I searched in vain for a reference to the "thousands of American servicemen killed by the Iranian regime over the last 47 years'" by any other source other than the Trump administration. Can't find fuck all. Anyone else know what they are talking about?

American has undergone a quiet civil war where Trump has been installed as POTUS twice now and he is absolutely circumventing the House and the Senate and not respecting the Constitution. America is now under authoritarian and even semi-autocratic rule for at least the next 36 months. Significant gerrymandering towards favouring favourable GOP electoral fortunes is occurring as well.
Impeaching Trump again for the third time will not impede his machinations as he still has much support.

House Dems are talking about regaining the House at the midterms as if there's no undercurrent happening at all.
Trump is behaving like he is not worried about the outcome at all.
One of those two is delusional and I'm more than a little concerned.

Saudi Arabia today announced it will let U.S. military planes use one of its military air bases against Iran.
