Based on what I've been able to see this far, Iran is focusing heavily on US air and naval facilities across the middle east. 5th Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain and the air base in Qatar have been hit particularly hard, as have bases in Erbil, Kuwait and Jordan. Launches towards Israel have mostly been intercepted.

It appears as if US and Israeli airpower has been heavily suppressing Iranian ballistic missile launch sites, which explains why most launches have numbered less than 50 missiles at a time rather than hundreds.

There are already claims of senior Iranian officials being killed in initial strikes on Tehran however Israeli news outlets are already acknowledged that decapitation strikes against the President of Iran and the Ayatollah have failed.

I expect in the coming days the Iranians will make an attempt at closing the straights of Hormuz and the pace of missile launches at American bases in the region to increase. Got to admit, the initial volley launched by the Americans and Israelis has been rather underwhelming

Apparently true to form Israel has struck a girls school in Iran killing 51 children.
This is day 1.
Badr bin Hammad al-Busaidi. Omani mediator on what was achieved by diplomacy (and now destroyed by bombs)

And his latest message to DJT: "This is not your war. Don't get sucked into it even more."

I just woke up to this shit.
Can't even have a peaceful Saturday morning.

Very disappointed in Trump and Israel right now 👎 ☹
You ready to call it a war yet?

About time they hit the POS Iranian dictators, free the Persian people from the Islamic Savage Ayatollahs. Iran hit several countries across the middle east. Out with the savages in with the Persian people.
I guess that girl's school was filled with Savage Ayatollahs......

There is a possibility that the people of Iran can topple the Mullah government with help from US airstrikes, but its a HUGE gamble with no guarantees it'll work.

And if Trump decides to put US boots on the ground inside Iran he will have completely lost the plot

This is because the US doesn't have the support and backing of their usual alias who think Trump is a POS.
Support of the governments in the region is something of a formality, it's nice to have but not necessarily needed to conduct the operations the US/Israel have planned. It appears, at least to me anyways, as if they are holding their punches. There were rumours that China had provided Iran with their best air defense systems in the weeks leading up to this, which if true could explain the rather underwhelming opening fusillade by the Americans and Israelis

I hope China has! It's amazing to have a leader in the US who makes many cheer for China.

Top US military officials warned about going at this without ally support. They need UK intelligence and airpower to complement US airpower. Which they DO NOT have.

I would expect Iran to launch a series of lesser missiles to draw out and use up america and Israel's missile defences.
I wonder how much real news we will get on this.

From what I read, trump only sent in about 1/3 of what the states used in the war on Iraq.

Carney has taken the side of trump and Israel here, that will be unpopular.

Told ya. Carney was not alone. The E3 in Europe, or the Three Stooges, have also fallen in line.
The BBC is posting a cute message that the E3 did not participate in the attack on Iran but they are condemning Iran's retaliatory strikes!
