Mr. Cronkite lived through and reported on a lot of history in his 92 years.

He was chosen because of his great Avuncular appearance and mustache which alone disqualifies him as you are influenced by his appearance. It is too hard to listen objectively to someone who looks like that


i never found his reporting to be insightful
