For the record, I suspect that Dubya really is losing credibility with the public but a single poll is just a small note - not the whole symphony.

Mass publics don't know their asses from their elbows. Public opinion polls of any kind reveal only how stupid people actually can be when they don't have an incentive to do otherwise.

That would explain the 41% that don't think Bush is dishonest. Personally, I don't have any explantion of how they numbers could be so high so I can't argue with you here.

Agreed. Most of my emphasis has been about Lang trying to change the direction of this thread. So I probably haven't ruminated too loudly about anything else. FWIW, I expect that Dubya's integrity scores will continue to plummet. He's in the early stages of a death spiral. He may still have some wiggle room but probably not as much as he thinks....
