I'll be honest I haven't been keeping up with The Walking Dead this season. It just got really repetitive and boring. Though the twitter buzz about this episode got me interested and I'm glad I watched it. I'm hooked once again.

Wow how epic was tonight's episode? Right out the gate it was filled with tension, and an epic bad ass move by Daryl. I was actually terrified for Sasha and Abraham. (I think that's his name) Just when you thought it was over, Daryl literally blew the bikers to fiery pieces. Don't mess with Daryl and Crew! I think though that the leader of the bikers, will come looking for his people and this may cause a new threat to Rick's group. Those bikers looked pretty hard and I'm assuming that the group they belong to is just as tough.

I'm very happy that Glen is alive. Yes I know I'm late lol. He had another pretty close call this episode, I was screaming at my TV. Those walkers were seconds away from ripping his guts out. It would have been a heroic death, but tragic nonetheless. Maggie and Glen need some much needed alone time, they've been through so much.

Oh and that scene where they were walking through the walkers. I knew something was going to go wrong. Damn Carol got to that kid badly, he had a meltdown and couldn't go on. At this point someone should have just thrown him over their shoulders and keep moving. This is The Walking Dead however, he draws the attention of a walker, who quickly takes a bite out of him. Obviously all goes to hell at that point. Michonne had to stab the older teen, to keep him from shooting Rick. In the process Carl gets shot in the eye? Am I right, or did something hit him in the eye? I know his eye is gone, but he can pull off an eye patch.

If you couldn't tell I loved the episode. What have I missed over the past few episodes? Did you like this episode? Will the Zombie apocalypse ever end? I mean the characters have been through hell and back.

This post prompted me to load up the latest episode on kodi. I turned it off after Daryl pulled out the rocket launcher from out of nowhere, this series has become such a cliche.

He didn't pull the rocket launcher out of nowhere. Abraham found it in the last episode, so it was in the truck. Great episode, hopefully the keep following the comic, it gets so much better.

The episode pretty well followed the events laid out in the comic book for years ago, so no huge surprised, though I was shocked at the rocket launcher biker gang scene (I actually thought the head biker was Negan himself) but IMDB cleared that up for me. The rest of the season will see the intro of Negan, a major badass, and Rick will see his first real challenge since the Governor. Carl's eye was shot by EmoRon, but his eyepatch will be a big story element from here on.

Jessica...please shrink your signature pic, it's too huge.
Sorry I will try to reduce the size. Yes I'm interested to see how the new big bad differs from the Governor. The stakes are high, the show has to lose some of the main characters or it won't be believable.

I'm sure I speak for many others when I say the size of your pic is good, Jess. :thumb:

As for the show, you should go back & watch the ones you missed. This season has been good.

I have heard whispers of another spinoff from the Walking Dead, no not the 30 second episodes we are getting of the in flight thing. I have heard that they are considering another, third, TV series.
Speaking of the Flight 462 series is anyone watching ?

Also ... I was in the local convenience store and what do I see under the glass ... Walking Dead scratch lottery tickets. How long have these been around ?
I bought two but did not win. They are $2 just so you know.

You skip over previous episodes to watch this latest one? Some eerie foreshadowing this last episode, things get really interesting.

From what I heard Darryl or one of the characters will separate and they will get their own show. They will def keep milking the walking dead cow until ppl r sick of it. There are so many potential storylines but the slowness of the show annoys me

Its the same old. Find new ppl new ppl crazy they die they drive they settle and, then repeat. When will they actually make,an effort, to, find the vaccine???
lol so true Avon

I'm getting sick of the show. I don't even watch it live. I watch it a day later so I can skip thru the boring parts. The season finale was pretty dumb also.

Cheap ending IMO. I doubt the show will kill off the same character as in the comics, they don't have the balls to do it.

Was funny to see Trevor from GTA 5 on the show tonight, he also had a cameo on Better Call Saul last season

Yeah, that'll happen because in the 1st season, before the world collapsed, a fully functioning Center for Disease Control in Atlanta couldn't find any vaccine, but now that all the doctors & scientists are gone, they should be able to find a vaccine, no problem. Yeesh! :frusty:

I like the show, but the season ending episode was weak, and this season as a whole has been disappointing. It seems like the show has run out of ideas. Defeat an enemy group? No problem. Just introduce a new, stronger, enemy. Carol come, Carol go. Weak guy gets strong, strong guy gets weak.

I wish they would deal with a very interesting issue that they hint at but never develop - the deterioration of the walkers. They've gone out of their way to show us that the walkers get weaker and more decrepit every season, and we know they die once their brains are physically destroyed. So the question is, won' t all the walkers just die off on their own within a couple more years (or will they become animated skeletons? Seems unlikely).? The survivors know that they have to kill everyone again who dies once they revive as a walker. So what is the problem? Just making sure that you "double kill" everyone?

Once the zombie population is under control, largely through natural attrition, isn't the show then just about building a new world order? How will they make that any more interesting than Jericho or any other failed show on that topic.

I was expecting more from last night's season finale. Just seemed like a bunch of riding around and being stopped in their track by the Saviours. The ending, the most important part, they don't show us who gets their head bashed in by Lucille. Really? Ugh! However they got me I will be watching season 7. At least a few episodes. As much as I love zombies, they need a fresh twist on the show. Like someone earlier mentioned, they should look for a cure/vaccine. Leave Georgia all together, something.

I'm going to disagree with the general consensus here. It was actually one of my favourite finales! We never knew the full strength of the Saviours; the slow build-up of suspense as Neagan stretched his muscles was perfect IMO. You go from thinking Rick's group is the toughest around, to thinking maybe they'll sustain some casualties, to finding out they're next to helpless in the face of this threat. I thought it was great!

And that's coming from someone whose interest has been waning in the series since the third season. I'm actually excited for season 7, though it'll probably devolve back into its plodding.
