Can I ask what type of privacy you are looking for? What do you mean by "most privacy." Note that VPNs will not completely mask your IT use since your information has to get to the VPN. For example if you are trying to mask your TERB reading from your company's IT people, you cannot do this by using a VPN. They still can see you are surfing the TERB forum. What the VPN will do is mask your IP from the websites you are visiting.

Again, it depends on what kind of privacy you're looking for.

At best, a VPN will provide a limited amount of privacy on the network between the endpoints of the VPN. There is no privacy at either end of the VPN, nor beyond the VPN.

Any footprints on your own computer, for example, are still there as they are made prior to the traffic being placed onto the VPN. And the traffic is very much traceable to you.
