And I still don't think it will. Lieberman has been supportive of McCain for months and will no doubt campaign for him, but McCain doesn't need a more liberal carbon copy of himself to be his running mate. He has to pick someone of solid conservative credentials or his fragile base in the GOP will evaporate.frasier said:

Joe is a political flake of really remarkable proportions. I give McCain enough credit that he wouldn't use him for anything more than bringing in stray independents to vote for him. I personally find it pathetic when people attack a guy like Lieberman based solely on his religion, not on his politics. It is just like someone being attacked for being anti-American because they are Muslim looking (whatever that is). Racists are everywhere but it is even worse when they try to hide their racism by masking it with a political "empathy" for whoever opposes the object of their hate.
