Mainly Papa Joe, who was enough of a megalomaniac to see one of his own become President, that he would even associate himself with a nutcase like Giancana. Of course, as we all know, Nixon with his tactics was as pure as the driven snow. Fair fight in my mind, given all of the underhandedness that was considered accepted at the time. I still say that a far more effective way of influencing elections is not outright fraud, but of finding "legal" ways to disenfranchise voters of a particular class that are considered undesirable. Southern states have been doing this since the Civil War, and practically wrote the book. As more of our citizens problems become a pain in the ass to listen to, I'm sure there will always be new ways to marginalize their voice.lookingforitallthetime said:What happens in 1960 if Illinois' electoral votes went to Nixon?
Papa Joe and Sam Giancana brought those ones home for JFK.
