I think he's the dark horse contender.
DeSantis cratering opens up space and people who want to move on from Trump need a new guy.
He's a much better communicator.
He's brand new so he gets to do the whole "outsider" thing and he doesn't have a previous political history to hang around his neck.
He can basically say whatever the electorate wants to hear if it helps him win.

If he does well in the debate (and I think he probably will) the media might anoint him the "non-Trump guy" and then he will barely even have to pay for advertising.

Oh no, it's MAGA forever so dumb Donald can hold the party hostage as he takes it down the road of oblivion.
The MAGA cult wants people like MTG and what MAGA wants, is what MAGA gets. Just look at the ignorant, clown they are about nominate for 2024....dumb Donald!!

He is definitely a good communicator and a really smart guy. But unlike the Democrats, I don't think the Republicans will nominate a brown guy.
Not necessarily. They've had two brown republican governors. Nymrata Randhawa and Piyush Jindal. But they both anglicized their names. Ramaswamy needs to hack off a few syllables.

Given up on the orange guy, DeSantis and RFK jr already?
"Faith, family, individual, hard work, moral values......" blah blah blah . Nothing new there. Sounds more like Billy Grahamaswamy to my ears.
And with everyone and his uncle screaming at their top decibels, is there in these times a silent majority yet to be awakened...or is it "awokened"?
When he takes a flight into "wokism" it is more a paler Santis than a star communicator Swamy.
Nothing illegal was proven against VR in a court of law yet his self-financed campaign bears ongoing scrutiny.

What are the chances of that happening ?
Good luck Vivek

I'm not sure.
If he is really good in the debate and the media notices him as "the shiny new thing" they will jump on it because any story is better than "Trump vs Biden, just like everybody expected".

Would the big donors follow? I don't know.
Would the base follow? I don't know.

The fact that even general political coverage has talked about how he is rising as DeSantis falls means the base is reacting to Vivek somewhat and that the money/political junkies are noticing.

If they all decide he's the new shiny thing, it will work for a while (look how much the media pushed DeSantis until he got on the trail and showed he couldn't actually hack it).

I really think it depends on the debate and him crushing it there. If he's just "meh" then this little boomlet probably drops off.

If he makes for good TV and they think they can get ratings, they will be all over him as the breakout star.

Will the maga crowd vote for him? I wouldn't bet on that.

If they don't want to see a Democratic president for the foreseeable future they better....
He's educated and articulate so he has a shot. Problem is the maga camp looks to the past.
I think the only thing that'll make Republicans snap out of trumpism is back-to-back defeats at the polls.
