I'll be visiting Toronto & Ottawa soon, but I am not going to stay in a hotel, prefer something cheaper like a motel...where can I find them in those cities?

Usually along the side of the road on the way into the city. Look for signs w/ the word "Motel" on them.

I hear The Bates Motel just off the highway is good. Ask for Norman and the room closest to the office.
