I am visiting Amsterdam for a couple of days. Do not want the ultra-commercialized 2minute FS. Are there decent massage + FS options available? ANy suggestions. Also would love to see some live shows. Any suggestions? I dont want to randomly walk into places - once in Paris got completely cleaned out by the owner of one such place who was a goon and forced out my wallet!!
Pancho. You need more than a couple of days in this great city! I was there three times and didn’t get enough. If you are staying at or near schiphol airport - there is an express train to Centraal station at reasonable rates for round trip. From there you can walk to most sight-seeing destinations or take the tram.
I assume you are Canadian – where a Canadian flag lapel pin at all times – clearly visible in restaurants, pubs etc. Canadians are well respected there.
Once at centraal station head down Damrak street veering left into the red light areas. Get a city map - the street sections directly below the “old cathedral” is mostly the "red light district" - Once there you will see a variety of brothels, window displays of girls, theatres with live sex shows - etc. all for a price of course. Just pick out what you like.
Also there are several good Irish bars there (I was there once on St.Pat's day and had a blast - well several actually…
.
Although legal - its still a buyer beware rule - most places are safe and harmless – but it is a business. We happened to choose one place where an argument ensued over a credit card - it was not pretty. So be careful - one wrong move and the police are on YOU like flies as they protect the girls first and you are assumed to be the criminal.
Also carry your wallet / ID etc in a money belt- not in your coat or back pocket. Pick pockets are rare - but it does happen. The locals are OK – but this is a busy cosmopolitan city with many foreigners passing through.
Here is a site to get more info.

Check out a favorite restaurant of mine – Casa Di David – exquisite Italian restaurant – Opposite side of town – can’t recall the street – but I do remember a delicious Rabbit dish.
PM me is you need more details!
Have fun man!
