Actress Dorothy Malone posing for a pin-up photo circa 1950. She won a steady stream of movie parts in the 1940s but was typecast as a "good girl". To break out of the pigeon-holing, Malone took a part in a 1956 picture titled "Written on the Wind", playing a troubled sexpot. The idea worked, Dorothy won the Academy Award that year for her performance, and future job offers became more diversified. In the 1960s she got a new generation of fans when she starred in the ABC prime-time drama "Peyton Place"
