Very true, if you just want a Viewsat you could also consider the Ultra Lite version which is the same as the Ultra V2 except not component out or s-video out I believe. It's also quite a bit smaller too but the files get released for this just as fast as the V2.herames said:Viewsat Ultra has been a god send....but don't get carried away and upgrade to HD unit...the technology is changing...the domestic satellite supplier is almost finished its new card swapping. Dish net to follow suitin the next year...which could be complete new type of FTA units ....in all the Ultra looks fine enough on Plasma TV
With that being said... I have been "testing" the Sv360 Elite and it seems good besides the few PVR bugs.c/p Cyphris
How do you like your N3?
If you like it toasted your in luck. Major progress has been made and things are starting to fall in place. The N3 we have all known is really not N3 at all but more like a N1.9. Yes that’s right, it isn't anymore advanced then the N2 we are using now. More info to come as things progress but things are definitely on the upside

Well more progress has been made and the road has been plowed. The future is so bright I gotta wear shades
As it looks all VS units shouldn't have any troubles keeping support for whats to come.
I agree 100%Gentle Ben said:with nagra3 on the horizon, and the fact that channels are already being switched over, I would hold off spending $$$ on FTA.
