I agree. For sure, since the rates increased, I only tip for exceptional service, when she makes a serious effort to please me and ensure I have a girl friend experience. I used to tip automatically every time even for basic service because I recognized how much net each MA was getting per session, but I understand (I stand corrected) all the rate increase is going to the MA, so tipping for me now has to be earned.

lol wrote same idea as yours in my previous post. also several spas now charge 140 to 150 for hh massage session. crazy for ottawa market as the sp rate for hh is from 120 to 160. stupid for paying hh masage

I usually tip on subsequent visits with a provider(Doesn't happen too often). A repeat usually means I'm quite satisfied with her service. I also don't tip after the session, I just include it in the exchange beforehand.

No. She's not making minimum wage lol. My repeat business and review is her tip.

Rates lower than the market and she provides exceptional service.

Usually after if I plan on repeating. Sometimes before if I'm seeing her again and didn't tip the last time.

4. What is the standard amount that you would tip?
No standard. Depends on her rates and service.

5. Are you more inclined to tip your favourite/reg SP vs. a one-off encounter? Why/why not?
Repeat only. Rarely for a first visit unless service was exceptional.

If I'm seeing someone for the first time and if their rates is over$150 per hour I don't tip.. Of I go do say 45 min and it's around $150 the max I'll pay is $150. I've paid $150 for 30 min and I've paid $150 for 1 hr. I have a budget.

With the price increase at spa's I rarely tip. Before it was only with exceptional service.

The best tip I give a provider that rocks my world with slow, sensual services and some naughty, playful light domination is repeat business and a great review, with her permission naturally.
