Natalie is fantastic and I’m so happy to have been a part of her project. She was fantastic to shoot with and really made me feel comfortable and human while showing her my day to day life. I’m beyond stoked for the SPs that VICE featured, it’s a great boost for their careers. All my features on VICE have brought amazing clientele through my door. I hope it does the same for the other providers!

Sorry to be a downer but I really didn't find this article very helpful. Simply, it didn't reveal all that much information that wasn't already known and didn't have enough depth.

Perhaps detailing the activities of different women, FT and PT, dancers, SP's, MPA's. Even taking one person and really discussing their non-SW activities. Anonymity of course would be maintained but this article only scratches a surface.

I guess that's the project she's working on?

I agree that there is no depth to the article, however, I think that is the point. My understanding is that the author aims to portray sex workers' lives just the same as anyone else; boring and mundane. To discuss the normalcy of their lives in great detail and revel over the fact they do 'normal things' is an irony in itself. I think the focus of the article is on the photos and depicting the diversity of sex workers' through visuals.

That or its a Q&A used to market a book that is in progress.

Oh joy, another book about hookers. I’m sure the SP are very nice people but these pieces always wind up as titular material without getting too deep into the people in the story.

Example:
SW: “I have sex for money and I sometimes like my clients. Ummm and sometimes I play Xbox or go grocery shopping like everyone else.”

There’s just not much else there to make for a captivating story.

At least Xavier Hollander had a great story and character arch with real growth as a person.

Vice does what Vice does best: flashy title with little meat.
