$209.00 in Canada available mid July

I might finally break down and buy a tablet. I like the 7" form factor and this blows away any 7" tablet to date....especially at this price.

the hobby needs more capitalism
It'll be popular amongst Android users and tech enthusiasts.

Will it break the iPad stranglehold? Probably not.

I'm definitely interested. The 7" form factor is great and it's from Google itself. My current 7-incher of an Android tablet is less than a year old but blown away by this machine. The 10 hr battery life promised by Google is going to be a real boon for those trans-Pacific flights!

I must say, this is probably the first time in quite a while Apple has reacted to a new product.. I think it's a nice device, I wish it had HDMI although some sort of DLNA streaming app will suffice.

I'm skeptical of those colorful microsoft case keyboards, they don't look like much oh an upgrade over on screen ones. Not like the Asus transformer

I'm wondering when someone will make one of those keyboards with the mag attachment for an iPad... would seem a natural accessory....

I don't mind the keyboard on the iPad but I don't do any serious writing on it... other than TERB posts....

LOL

This certainly will kill playbook. I simply do not see how they can remotely compete with Googles SW development pace. Since playbook has been release Goog has come up with about 3 revisions of Android.
