Vasectomy?

Had it done years ago. Had moderate bruising afterwards. Don't do any heavy lifting for a while. So great not having to use condoms with my SO anymore. The feeling of CIP never gets old.

Edit: As others have mentioned, get tested at the 6 month and 1 year mark. I still had swimmers after the 3 and 6 month tests.

Not really. Chances of failure long term are quoted at 1:10000. Temporary pain is to be expected if someone cuts a hole in your sac, roots around to find the 2 vas, and then cauterizes them and puts a titanium clip on them, if you consider that, pain is a lot less that I’d predict at least.

Yes, I had it done a while back.
Does it hurt? Would it hurt to get a needle stuck into your balls... TWICE? Sure.
I'm very happy I did it. I did it at the right time, after having kids.

Just be sure to follow Dr orders about recovery. Recovery IMO was the most inconvenient part.

Had mine done over 20 years ago. I asked the same question and every one I talked to said it was a breeze and they all went back to work dame day and were power squatting at the gym hours later.

Mine was uncomfortable. I had sharp, stabbing pains for days. So, follow up with the same uber masculine lot and shared my experience and their tune changed. They all found it uncomfortable and had the same experience I did. Fucking bunch of manly men trying to down play the experience.

Bottom line, I would do it again without a second thought.

Expect some discomfort and take the couple days recommended off post surgery.

FWIW, I had massive loads for a long while afterwards. Not sure what the hey happened. That didn't last long though.

I had it done, after the second child. The procedure was no big deal - way less than a tooth extraction, for example. I had mine during a very hot and sweaty summer, though, and one of the stitches got infected. So, would recommend doing it in the cooler season. Funny thing, though, this was forty years ago, and I still have dreams that I've knocked somebody up. Always a relief to wake up and return to reality!

Had it done 15 years ago. Easy operation, no side effects, no issues. I’ve started shaving my balls afterwards as I liked the preop feeling and my SOs afterwards love letting me cream pie them.

Recovery: about 3-5 days of swelling

Process did not hurt but aftermath was bad.
Had to do shuffling walk for a couple days.
Was pleased with result but only for a limited time.
New wife meant another surgery years later. Vasectomy Reversals are not covered by OHIP.
Cost about 5K.

Had it done after 2 kids, wasn't too bad minus the 3 days of walking funny like someone had hit me in the perfect spot down there.

Glad I did it, I'm now in my early 50s and the thought of having another kid gives me the chills...
